My passenger side drivers window has started acting up. The window goes up and down ok but the pane of glass is very loose and moves around. does anyone know what the problem is? is it going to be expensive to fix?
I had the window replaced after a break in in Sept 04, could it be to do with this

Recommend a forum search on Golf windows - from memory this sounds like the problem with plastic blocks, which can be fixed, but you need to buy a kit.
Age of the car may be relevant

Just about every VW seems to suffer this. Plenty of info on the web and on this site. You can DIY, but its a bit fiddly (take care not to cut your hands!).

Hi. This is a common Golf/Bora MK IV problem. Search in the the following forum for information: www.uk-mkivs.net/forum/default.asp . I believe some of the windscreen repair/replacement firms now do a repair kit that is better & cheaper than the VW part.
