mark is a nice enough chap, a bit closed of opinions other than his own, lack of awareness how different various peoples experiences can be in the modern world, and the different perspectives these can cause, and bit more than average human nature trust in his own experiences and lack of sympathy for those that look at the world from a different perspective for perfectly valid reasons, mindlessly pro police, even more than most coppers would be off duty amongst friends, and tends to want to continue arguments, like being speaker in the house mods need to curtail some of the more extreme stuff they would say as back benchers, in this context maybe sometimes the personal view stuff should probably be done from another account (maybe sometimes it is), on the whole tolerance and empathy for those with different backgrounds and experience is a burden a mod has to carry
probably mark has cheesed off more than most mods, but probably tried harder as well
no idea if any of this is anything to do with why he left
to be honest being a mod is not a job i could do, its harder than it looks

After everything that has happened I honestly feel we should let sleeping dogs lie.

Agreed.
This forum is about motoring and not to voice our opinion/speculation/views about it's other members. There has already been enough threads relating to Mark's resignation.

"This forum is about motoring and not to voice our opinion/speculation/views about it's other members"
Quite right
"After everything that has happened I honestly feel we should let sleeping dogs lie."
Exactly
Have a feeling this thread will be closed shortly.

I think that holds the Backroom record for the longest sentence.
I believe you are saying he is opinionated ? absolutely correct!
That said, the Backroom is the poorer for his absence as a moderator.
