At lunchtime today I saw a Community Support Officer in Welwyn Garden City writing a parking ticket to stick on an old Nova. The crime - one rear tyre was on the kerb.
My two colleagues and I speculated that it would be quite funny if the three of us lifted the back end and shuffled it off the kerb while he was writing the ticket...

if the police had half a brain cell theyd watch a car like this for half a day and nick the low life who damage it, they are likely to be the very same low life that they repeatedly moan on they carnt touch for lack of evidence
sad waste of public money this whole fiasco
and the idiots in thames valley who issued my old car with a ticket when it was reported stolen should be shot in my view
if they have tried contacting the registered owner the car should still be moved by the authorities, he could well be in hospital or similar (although i realise lots of cars do get dumped)

Yes and of course everyone tells the DVLA that they are the new owner of car. There is sufficient legistlation to get a car like that shifted without having a ticket issued or the "owner's" consent. It just looks a bit staged to me...(my perception)

well if the so called justice system didnt persecute the honest people who have their car correctly registered, and do the square root of zero about the many who never bother to register it and thereby ignore speed cameras etc, if the system actually encouraged people to do the right thing more of them would
at the moment in my view sadly the system encourages people to ignore rules where they can get away with it
as ever its the honest middle or the road hard workers who will pick up the tab one way or another
