Zafira TD Engine Oil - bikemade3
Local Vauxhall dealer in Taunton is selling 10/40 fully synthetic ( Shell helix) as the oil for topping up VX 2.0TD engines.
I bought the oil as a precaution, so far this car has done 4500 miles and oil level has dropped about 3mm.
Car is a 2004 Zafira i thought the oil was 5/30 spec am i wrong?

The spec listed is as follows:

Vauxhall Zafira 2.0 Di/DTi 1999 onwards

ACEA B3 0W-40, 5W-40 or 10W-40

Capacity 5.5 litres

Keep an eye on the oil level. Vauxhall 2.0 diesel engines have been known to drink a lot of oil while running in although i think the problem has now been cured, but just take care.
