Declaring SORN by Phone - tr7v8
Someone said last night that I can declare SORN by post, only problem is that the V11 doesn't give any details of it!
Anyone any idea if its possible & if so the number?

Thanks guys just found it myself.
Brought another TR7 on Sat 12th and asked when I can declare SORN was told only once I receive the V5. So I suppose its up to the previous owner to declare SORN as Tax expired 30/11.

Not if its been off the road for a while - DVLA saya:-

You only need to make a SORN for a vehicle that had a licence in force on or after 31 January 1998

Please do not use these dreadful 0870 numbers. As well as being more expensive to call, the organisation you are ringing gets a substantial cut of the cost to you. As much as 3p per minute.

Telephone number of the DVLA is 01792 782 780

There is a web site called say no to 0870, which lists alternative numbers. I will try and find the address.
