where are the Passat 4motions ? - adverse camber
My brother is looking for a passat 4motion tdi estate (new or nearly new) He is haveing real problems finding one, anyone got any suggestions as to where he might look -hes done the search on the vw site and autotrader.

One dealer has told him that vw have stopped production of 4motions and that there will not be any more untill the new model (this is why they wont discount the one they have, despite it being about to be superceded)

Where are the petrol powered Passats period?! Most of the Passats (95%)I see on the roads are TDi's, so you will have difficulty getting a 4motion. Try ebay, you never know.

Actually theres no shortage of petrol passats. Most 4motions seem to be v6 petrol. The tdis are much more in demand for reps though which is why they are all over the motorways.

Agreed, no shortage of Petrol Passats to buy, just hardly any on the road these days! Misread your first thread, didnt see the Tdi bit! How about an Audi A4 Avant Quattro if you have no joy getting a 4 motion?

Strange isnt it how quickly diesel has gone from being a dirty word to so in demand?

Regretably the a4 is too small, and the A6 too expensive for him. Ive suggested he looks at the Jag X-type on the basis that the dealer near me seems to be throwing discounts at thiem, but I dont think they are very big either.

Dont anyone say Mondeo, he would rather chew his arm off! He doesnt like fords.
