Model 2002, lens type dipped headlight. Need to change my dipped beam lamp. Opened the bonnett and froze. Do I take all the plastic off to get at back of the headlights or the two screws on top to remove the complete unit? Anyone help? Ta, Redser

Headlight does not need to come out but having small hands helps.
Need to remove the black plastic surround over the radiator filler ,if it is the OS light (little tabs need to be squezed IIRC or some of the intake ducting on NS ( remove blanking caps to get at screws).
When rear of headlight is exposed it is still a tricky job.
VW garage took 1/2 hour- I watched- and have done one mysef.
Decide if you would rather pay the labour or remove some skin.

I wasna fu but just had plenty.

Quick Tip... Wait until the sun has been on the car for a while before attempting this, as with the current cold snap bumped / grazed fingers seem to hurt much more in the cold. Why is that? humm one to ponder for a while

Ta, Scunner. Will follow your advise and try myself. (Otherwise I'd have to admit I can't change a bulb!) Redser
