Now I'll make no secret of the fact I'm not Citroen's biggest fan. Unfair I suppose given the only one I've ever driven was an old Saxo but the looks don't appeal to me. Trust me - this is going somewhere.
I saw a new C5 today. Odd because I never even knew they were out yet but they must be because one was parked up in Sainsbury's driven by, sorry for not being PC but a rather "trampy" old chap. By that I mean a lumberjack shirt and string vest - honestly...ok - there was no string vest...or lumberjack shirt.
Very subtle changes - I only had a quick look at it as I was holding everyone up but the lights were what caught my attention - certainly nicer than the ....sorry SeeFive (and others) boring tailights of it's predecessor.
That is all...thank you.

I only wear the string vest when I'm going somewhere posh.

I'm one of the first to agree that the old C5 had indeed fallen from the ugly tree.
The new C5 and C4 are far more of a visual treat.
Mate, try driving a C5, they are a well kept secret. Graeme will agree, nothing comes close.

I'm trying SF honest!
My mate's dad has I think the 2.2 HDi. Going to get a lift in it next week if all goes to plan. I may have to settle for that. I'll admit - Citroen wouldn't be my first choice of car but I've never driven a decent one such as the C5 so I'm being unfair really.
That new one though - did look really quite nice...actually - very nice.

Never driven a Xantia? They are decent cars.

Are they?
|
Yes - better than decent actually
|
I had one for quite a while, I thought it was a great car. Can't stand the C5 though.
|
the C4 looks 'interesting'!..feel it may do well

Xantia was the best car I've ever had (ok that might not be saying much seeing my history) and the only one I made money on.

totaly agree, No 1 son has just got one, incredibly smooth ride & much better put together than the citroens of the 80s that I remember.
|
No 1 son definently agrees, very nice car to drive.

I agree. Fantastic smooth riding suspension, handling not bad. Mechanically sound and now well sorted. Citroen are always doing special offers which hammers residuals, but makes them a great bargain used.

???
Have you seen the rear of the new C5?
|
That's my point cheddar! I love it. I like "different" looks on cars now as we're in danger of them all looking the same.
