Vauxhall use VDO stereos as standard fitment in some of their vehicles. As previously mentioned I was in a Zafira yesterday that had one in, and last week I also spotted one in a Vectra.
Have you browsed the Vauxhall website for the range of different stereo's available for the Corsa?

The same link shows the fascia conversion plates for single DIN at the bottom.

LOL. I knew it was lying around somewhere nearby. One of those instances where it's right under your nose, but I wasn't able to see it.

VDO:
A long established company that used to make car and aircraft instruments. They bought out the Philips car audio division in late 1999 early 2000. Hence they became one of the lead suppliers for car audio for Renault & GM. They make car specific models and aftermarket models. They are amoung the leaders in built in sat nav (taking the philips carin system on a few steps).
Found most of their products to be solid and reliable
