Hi I have a 55K VW Passat 1.9Tdi PD. Is there a specified time for swapping your glow plugs or do you change when they fail?

Not sure about the VW PD engine specifically, but I've owned various diesels and they don't specify a change interval for glow plugs. Just swap them out when you have trouble starting from cold.
