Currently an RAC member having joined through a discount offer. I travel a lot between Aberdeen and Oxford and learned by chance that RAC members get 20% discount at Moto Services(excluding petrol)and Little Chef. I was not aware that RAC members were entitled to discount anywhere. RAC certainly do not publicise this fact. Does anybody know of any other discounts available to RAC members ?

Recently renewed my AA membership. Normally I just accept the renewal quote. This year I decided to asked if there were any discounts available. Promptly knocked off £35.00. The motto is if you do not ask, you do not get.
Alternatively play the AA against the RAC or Green Flag. Do not pay the full asking price as they all want your business.

I'm a bit cross with the AA, they recently sent my renewel offering spouse cover for an extra £0, so I telephoned and accepted. This was with the £42 Option 100 cover.
When I got my credit card bill, it said £66, and they said that mailshot was a mistake and should never have gone out. So when I phoned to accept the offer, they never said anything was wrong. I wonder how many people just saw the £66 and thought it was correct?

Get your money back from them. They could have backed out at the time you asked for the spouse cover, but they can't change the price after, however big a mistake they had made.
