Hi,
I've got a (2000W) 306 cabriolet 2.0SE with 39k and full PSH. I've been offered a (04) Xsara VTS coupe with delivery mileage for £9k.
I'm wondering whether I should switch to the Xsara. Will my 306 hold value better than the Xsara in two years time? Or am I better trading up to the Xsara?
If I trade in what should I expect for the 306 cab?
Any advice appreciated.

I presume that you are aware that the Xsara is now an obsolete model, the C4 replacement is due out imminently. This will have an effect on residuals. Given that the C4 is such a stunner, values of the Xsara could be badly hit. Bid for a good discount if you do go for it.
I was at my local Citroen dealer on Saturday looking at a Xsara Coupe myself but I wanted the HDi engine rather than the 2.0 petrol, unfortunately the HDi Coupes are rare.
Dealer said the C4 would be in the showroom in about 5 weeks. Would I be interested? Of course, if I had the money :-(

Yep I'm aware that the Xsara is now obsolete.
My main reason for changing is that it gives me a new car with delivery mileage. I'd keep it for two years and then trade in again.
Its gonna come down to how much it costs to change from the 306 cab to the Xsara. Insurance isn't a worry. I'm more worried out large bills appearing for the 306 cab.
Any suggestions what I should offer the dealer and what I should ask for mine?
