I have 2 cars with electric mirrors and at least 4 spiders. They make webs from all 4 housings to nearest door, every night. I tried hoovering them out but no luck. Any ideas which don't involve a complete strip down?

I too am on my second car with heated mirrors and am greeted each morning with a web from mirror to window, for some reason only on drivers side in both instances.Does not worry me but I do wonder what they or it lives on.

Ditto, they are game little creatures, I have noticed them climb out, have a look around and climb in again all at 85 on the M4.

I have managed to oust two over the years, both times catching them on the web and evicting them miles from home.
All that happens is the queue shuffles up and the next tenant moves in.

We took one to France and back this summer! Came out for a look at the scenery occasionally and sometimes enjoyed a breath of fresh air on the motorway! I suspect the frost might kill her off this winter but I will look after her children for her next spring! Don't blow fag smoke at her, or insecticide, - you will kill her!

Why do you want to kill it ? It won't harm the car will it ?

You lucky people you all have mobile websites!

SWMBO had a spider living in her door mirror for ages. She adopted it as a pet and even called it Cedric.
Try www.betterware.co.uk they do a product called Spider Stop, supposed to get rid of them without killing them.

I've rarely been without least one spider using a door mirror as home - got to admire their ingenuity in keeping warm and safe even at 70mph..:-)
