does anyone have any experience of the above car
after a r or t reg one around £4000 does any one have any tips or anything about them

Well Scenics in General. I had a 99T 1.6 petrol for 4 years and 49k miles. If it has sunroofs make sure they work. you need a model with aircon lot of glass they get hot inside. The interior trim rattles a bit with age but mine was generally sturdy. Watch for a leaking washer bottle (the front wings are plastic and if they get knocked the water bottle can split but not show any outward signs). The battery is under the seat so the drivers seat does not lift up / down (fixed on 2000 face lift models) Make sure the auto speed wipers work properly they tend to get sticky and go mad after a few years when its wet or cold. Generally it was reliable, comfortable and very flexible.
A guy called BobbyG hangs around on here and he had the 1.9 dti he will probably add some more. The diesel needs to have had the cambelt/sprocket/idler rework done on it.
