hello i am looking for advice on how much i should be looking at paying from a dealer for a T reg golf 1.8T GTI 84000 miles in jazz blue with standard alloys cd player. There seems to be a wide price range from dealers on autotrader some are looking for around 5k whilst others are heading up to 7500 odds for same year and approx same high milage.

Any help you can givee me on this would be greatly appreciated cheers.

Don't really know too much about Golfs but I felt sorry for you :-)

I had a look on Parkers and I'm assuming it's the 3 door derivative in which case,

Dealer Retail
£ 7380

Private Good
£ 6760

Private Poor
£ 5270

Have you tried a SEAT Leon 20VT? You'll be able to get into a better driving, newer car with 180BHP, 6speed gearbox, climate control, 6 CD changer etc.. for the same money.

Try one before you buy the Golf.

Thats true- i have not long bought a 02 plate Leon 20vt Cupra in mettalic blue with history and 55k miles for 6600. It needed two tyres and an air-con regas though, but i still think its cheaper and drives better than the equivalent golf.
