How do I get my grey plastic bumpers back to black again? I need to sell the car and they look tatty. My Dad has used 'back to black' type stuff and it wears off really quickly...
Thanks

I like the Halfords Exterior trim treatment. It came top in the AutoExpress test on such products.

If it's only to sell, does it matter if the effect is not long lasting?
£3 - £4 on a can of Back to Black I'm sure will last a couple of viewings in order for you to sell your car.

Autoglym Bumper Care. It isn't black, but it restores the original colour for several months at a time.

I second Andrew T. It's green and it's the only one I've used that doesn't rinse off/streak the first time it rains.
I've also heard that 'Armorall' spray is good but I've never used it personally

It's not what you use it's how you use it..
Spray your black to back onto a small sponge then apply to bumper. I use a scrub sponge which should be used for washing up!
Much better finish than spraying direct with the can.

I've tried them all at some point in time. Armorall spray did bring the colour back but I found it faded just as quick as Back to Black.
Autoglyn is the best I have tried to date. Does not make the bumpers black but certainly makes them much darker than the faded grey look. Seems to last several washes and is so easy to apply with a small sponge.

Thanks a lot everyone! I guess I'll try Autoglym!
