| Hi,
Can someone please confirm which manufacturer did the 105bhp turbo-diesel engine as fitted to 1997-ish vintage Rover 200/400 models?

Is it any good? Things to watch for?

 Cheers.

                    | Made by Land Rover and fitted into the Freelander and 620,420 & 220. Rover bought the engine recently, the idea is to common rail the engine.
Good strong motor but it is outclassed today by superior Ford and Peugeot PSA Diesel engines.

                    | According to austin-rover.co.uk/ they were Rover\'s own L series. |

                    | It may well be Rover's engine now - but in the past they were shipped in from Land Rover to the Rover production line..
 I know, I've been there..
