But is it a con?. When you consider the amount sold/used. I often wonder. It has to be proved that any product doesnt work before it can be banned.But also think. Its unlikely any testing would be done due to cost to taxpayer. Cheaper to let the consumer decide whats best for their car.

I also remember DuPont who make PTFE took legal action against Slick50's makers saying they did not approve the use of it in their application, and the claims they made tarnished the DuPont brand.
If you find out about the process of coating a frying pan with PTFE, you will see that merely putting lumps of it in oil and squirting it around a fast moving engine is a waste of time and won't 'coat' anything other than the oil filter media.
