Why do you need to cover it? Is it normally garaged 24/7 ?
|
bird poo mainly...no one around to wash it off

Fair point, was wondering how you needed to protect your bodywork for 3 weeks when the car had been subjected to the elements for 14 years!
But as you suggest, poo can eat through paint very quickly. I know that places like Argos do covers, your Aldis and Lidls do them sporadically as well.
Argos starts at £4.99 for a roof and window cover.

yeah well its mint for a 14 year old car, i plan to keep it nice for as long as i can
|
well sticking it under a car cover for three weeks is not the way to do it. The thing will sweat like anything under there, the winds will chafe the cover against your paintwork and scratch it, all in all personally I wouldnt.
Give it a really good wax.

Argos sell an RAC approved cover made of a waterproof but breathable fabric. The cost is £35 and size 5.5mx3.5m. It's designed to cover the entire car and appears to be secured underneath so no visible straps to damage the paintwork. HTH.

Don't buy the cheap argos or index ones, the plastic is so brittle when it gets cold that they tear. You'll come back to find the cover has ripped and blown away. You're better off giving the car a good going over with a polymer sealant polish like Simoniz liquid diamond and a coat of wax on top.

anyone suggest a good brand cover if decide to get one..id want the breathable type

Was in Costco yesterday. You can buy a metal framed structure which you you put together and cover in a plastic woven plastic sheeting. You then simply drive underneath it. I assume you can tie it down as there is one near me that has been on the guy's drive for over three months. Its a bit like the cheap gazebo's you can buy at B&Q.

Espada III - well if you have a family and need a Lamborghini, what else do you drive?
