For all those that thought F1 was getting boring this year,
JV should be driving for Renault in the final 3 races of this year then will be going to Sauber for 2005-6. Pity no one got Hakkinen back though, still, can't wait to see him battling it out again!
May yet see Hakkinen back, there's still seats at Jaguar and BAR to fill, maybe others. Coulthard not yet confirmed for any team, maybe the flying Finn will be favoured over our Dave!
I would love to be a fly on the wall in Flavio's office while young Jaques is at Renault. Talk about two jumped up talentless huge ego's at work. Violence will break out, expect one or the other to sport a black eye.
Re "our David" If you were a team manager and you wanted someone to fight and push your emerging, improving or inferior team to the front of the grid and podiums would you choose "our David"?
Sauber is pay to drive rather than get paid to drive.
Bit of a come down for Napolean.

You beat me too it, on both counts, RF. :-)
On the subject of JV and Flav, I was hoping that the former would sign up with Renault for next season for exactly the reason you state! At least we'd then have some entertainment.
On another subject, why do bikes get great sportsmen with great free speaking characters like Rossi, when F1 gets automatons like the Schumachers and (yawn) Mr Disinterested himself, Raikkonen? Both sports are hugely professional, with massive budgets and image at stake, so it can't solely be Corporate 'Handlers'.
F1 certainly used to have, who could forget James Hunt!
Mind you they also had Mansell.
I am afraid the characters got killed, (or in shunts case died thro excesive living!), so only the Automaton icemen survive
Much as I think JV is a big-mouthed had-been, it's still interesting to see what he can do in the Renault. Maybe he will put that prima-donna Alonso in the shade.
And indeed, why are MotoGp riders so full of character and sportmanship? Strange isn't it? I'd love to see Rossi in F1, I'm sure he'd be competetive.
Er, you don't remember Rossi and Biaggi punching one and others lights out a year or two back, then?
Tamado doesn't think much of The Doctor's sporsmanlike qualities either, judging by the comments during last Sunday's GP.
I don't remember Rossi and Max physically fighting no, but maybe I missed that. At least it's all out in the open though :-)
I don't know what Tamada has to complain about, I didn't see anything bad from Rossi in the race - I only saw the highlights on BBC though. Now Capirossi, that's another matter...
