I am opting out of the company car scheme and have gone for the above. However, I note it has 30k service intervals.
I am not keen on letting oil soldier on for that length of time, and intend to drop it every 10k or so. Could anyone advise what oil Vauxhall use (Synth/semi-synth/whatever)so I could use similar? Thanks.

Vauxhall use semisynthetic Shell Helix G. (G for GM) 10w40
You can buy 4x5 litre bottles for about £28 from the dealer is you ask for Trade Club deal and they say yes!

Sooty, is that the proper Shell oil in Shell packaging,or is it the Vauxhall brand oil,in Vauxhall packaging,because 4x5litre for £28 seems an excellent deal for Shell oil.

No, its not badged as Shell.
The dealers pay 80p a litre for it in their workshops, and charge you £6 a litre!

The 5 litre bottles you buy in the showroom are £29.95 each to you and me, and £10.50 to trade for the same thing, only thing is you need 4 bottles for trade price.
Would you spend £30 on 1 bottle, or £41 on 4 ?
