Just to add my experience with Autotrader prices.
I have a 2002, 318iSE with 70k on clock with FBMWSH. I would say mine is in 'immaculate' condition.
I advertised it on par with the cheapest comparable car (year plus milage) on Autotrader (after carrying out a national search).
Guess what happened - two calls - on the very first day the ad went 'live'
One guy came, had a look went away - never heard again.
The second one came, had a look and offered a full £1000 less than the asking price!!
After that absolutely nothing. This is in spite of my dropping the asking price by £500 over the two weeks the ad was with Auto Trader online version.

Worst time of year to sell with 54 plates a week away, people spent up after summer holidays...

there's one on eBay with 130k miles that struggled up to 5,600 - still unsold.
