what do people think?
havent driven one, they dont look brilliant but seem great value.
cheers.

It's noisey - but cheap!

PRICE IS FANTASTIC.
equipment is not bad, and loads of space.
anyone driven one?
anyone brought one?
is it worth getting extras on?

Drove a five seater Doblo with low power diesel engine on holiday. Great fun, very comfortable and load and loand and loads of room. Even the air con worked very well.
It was slow at first once I got used to it, but when it had had an Italian tune-up on some hills it was sure a lot faster and more economical.
If it wasn't for the fact that I will only drive automatics at home I would have one tomorrow. Too much city driving gives me knee ache in a manual.

Espada III - well if you have a family and need a Lamborghini, what else do you drive?

Road test/comparison with Berlingo in last week's Auto Express
|
they dont do a berlingo 7 seater?
who won the road test?
|
|
don't like them.. they look ridiculous.

Think it falls into the category of great value for money. Very practical, loads of space etc. However, if memory serves me right, performance isn't that great. Think for anyone on a budget looking for 7 seats, it must be a winner.
|
"they dont do a berlingo 7 seater"
I know, but the aticle was still comparing the Berlingo with the 7 seater Doblo, which I thought may be of use to you!
|
How do i access the article on the internet?
also, on another subject for a friend - berlingo car van - high mileage diesels - any good?
talking 100k on a y plate.
seen a few slip through the auctions way below 2k - just wondering on how much further they have left in them?

I gather the 1.3 JTD engine isn't particularly strong - if and when Fiat put the 1.9 engine in the 7 seater, it will probably be a better bet
|
|
(When I say 1.9 engine, I refer to the Fiat 1.9 JTD engine)
|
|
They do and it goes once on boost.

We are talking XUD 1.9 versions? Unless it's radically different from the 30 odd other applications and provided the oil/filter and cambelt changes have all been done correctly the engine and drivetrain should be fine for twice as far again. The HDi also seems OK but not yet been around long enough to be so confident. The car by car breakdown has some further info on suspension etc weaknesses.
I'm keen on one of these, or a Pug Partner, (the multispace 4 seater not the van) for when our 13yo BX estate eventually expires, where are they going to auction for that kind of money?
|
they are even in autotrader for £2500 and below.
seen one in blackbushe and another for that money in brigehouse (but it was a bit tatty).
i prefere the kangoo out of the four on the market.
if im correct we have
berlingo
partner combi
kangoo
doblo
and isnt wv releasing a caddy soon?
im surprised more manufactures havent jumped on the band wagon, its certianly a ideal car for a small buisness.
talking to people. ldv once considered it but they where not allowed to at the time as the chassis for one of their vans (same as nissan serena) - they where only allowed to produce it as a commercial.
he does want one, to lug around all his work gear and for head room.
not to many diesels sitting between 40 - 65k around 3 years with diesel.
