There are two round things on the glass that look like hinge 'bolts' - but where on an Audi A8 would these be?
>>
According to the text it's on the drivers side door pillar.
It does look kind of odd though as if it's not off the same car but why would he state something of a different car? strange..
|
It is of the same car. If you look at the reflections in the pictures you can see the house and the fence and they are the same ones. Also in the large main picture of the car you can just see the funny disc shaped things which appear on the close up of the door pillar with the scratch.
It does make an entertaining read though!

LOL! And you have to laugh at his username!

On first reading I thought this must be made up. But given his feedback history, not to mention the babydoll outfit, it seems pretty genuine.
Good read to finish off Friday 13th!

Thank goodness I only had a Rover 400 to neglect when I got divorced. All makes horribly familiar reading!
|
I should add that I definitely "lost" in the divorce settlement. I got the car.

What does LOL mean?

LOL = Laugh out loud
And occasionally Lots Of Love. So beware who you're LOL'ing ;o)

Thanks Bud, now I am totally confused.

It might be me but do you not think there's something strange about the picture of the heart scratched in the paintwork? There are two round things on the glass that look like hinge 'bolts' - but where on an Audi A8 would these be?
They are the glass guides, as the glass is flush fitted. They bolt through the glass and are a mushroom shape with the head of the mushroom running up and down a channel behind the black edging on the glass.
As also used on the later Audi 80.

Thanks AR-CoolC, I've never noticed these before - I'll keep an eye out for them.
Talking of Audis, my local garage has an A4 Avant SE 'Y' reg TDI for sale. The ad says its a 115 bhp but the 'TDI' badge on the tailgate is all silver. Am I correct in thinking that the 115 bhp version should have at least the 'I' in the 'TDI' badge in red?
