Not this morning, Mark, last night.
This morning it was fine mist & spray with bright sunshine. Arguable either way whether to light up. Last night it was torrential rain in the dark - visibility was in fact quite good because there was no fine mist and no sunshine to diffract. Road surface was nice and glassy - perfect for reflecting any bright red lights that happended to pass....
Am more concerned about large heavy vehicles aquaplaning their way past me than the lighting issues, though...

Dunno where you were, but where I was the M40 was torrential rain, massive amounts of spray from a huge number of trucks and a lot of damn wind.

and a lot of damn wind.
Take a Rennie ;o)

4 to 9.
No wind, particularly. Rain medium to heavy, overcast but bright sky. Much spray. Not fun.
(Dogger, Fisher, German bite. 6 to 10, rising. Northerly, backing. Oddly familiar phrase, fishy. 42. Soporific voice, gentle rhythm.)
(I'll go get that sou'wester...)

I was doing 9 - 13, but obviously on a different planet.

Sounds as if someone has got a downer on trucks, methinks.
