Seems to be good looking and can only increase Toyota sales, even interested myself if they get the price right (about the same as current models).

Interesting that you think the current price is right. I'm a current Yaris owner, and happy with it, but I wouldn't buy again at the current prices. Cheapest model with aircon is the 1.0 3dr TSpirit at £10k.
The non-aircon models are a bit better value, but I wouldn't consider buying a car without aircon. Perhaps I'm unusual in that respect?

I found that ordering from France would save about 3 - 4 grand off the price of a Yaris Tsport. (but no sunroof IIRC - a bonus in my books - no sunroof)

Looks almost like a mini-Corolla. Is it me, or is the 'Family Resemblance' thing becoming more and more the case with car manufacturers these days?
As for the spec, I very much agree. The main reason for me either keeping my current GLS-spec or moving elsewhere (The Getz is tempting) is because I want either a sunroof or aircon and only the top Yaris has these. They don't even appear to be an option on the others and there is no way I can justify £10k on a car on my salary!
BTW, what happened to the Yaris T-Sport Turbo? :)

I can't see much difference from the current model, except that maybe the side window line rises more steeply ... confirming my theory that all car designs are evolving towards a point where the occupants will have to stand up to see out

The car looks OK, but how much is real Toyota and how much comes from the imagination of the computer artist? It has the overall proportions of a Citroen C2.
