Private seller - 2003 VOLVO S60 Saloon 2.4 T SE 4dr [Geartronic]
leather seats, 9800 miles. £15100.
Is this a good deal? A lot of depreciation for 2003.

As HJ says, a lot of depreciation, but a lot more to go.
The S60 probably makes most sense, if not overpriced, at about three years old. If new or nearly new then, given that they all look virtually identical, buy as low down the range and as cheaply as you are willing to put up with.

All Volvo's seem to lose shed loads of money these days - particularly with a few miles on the clock.
A legacy of Volvos Ford style pile 'em high discounting sales strategy they now use I suppose.

I bought a 50k 1999 S80 2.4 140bhp for £5,900, auto, leather, climate, T6 alloys. Then I put lpg on it cost me £1350 on top. Cheaper than a S60 and D5 prices are very high!
I now have a big, safe, comfortable cruiser that does the equivalent of 40/45 mpg.
Unfortunately my work colleauges have started calling me "vicar" due to the image of the car.

I have an S80 2.9 and am averaging 21mpg. Fortunatley, I can cope with this, but would welcome advice as to where you put the lpg tank, where the conversion was done and how performance has been affected?

Espada III - well if you have a family and need a Lamborghini, what else do you drive?
