Fate O tyres. Any user experience? - henry k
Just changed cars.
The Mondeo II came equiped with FATE O AR 550 Advance tyres. 205/50 R16s
They even had the company web site address on the side walls.

Has anyone tried these? Any info on the company or their tyres?

Unfortunate name. I briefly owned an oldish car with one among a set of naffish United Nations tyres. I don't think Argentina has a worldwide reputation as a quality tyremaking nation, but I stand to be corrected.

Ah yes, Fate O tyres. Remember them well from my Fiat Uno days. I guess you don't have the ones with "cauliflower" treads. I did! When dry, they are ok, but on a wet greasy road they are absolutely mince. The car will understeer, oversteer, everything. Still not as bad as the "Dark horse" remoulds I once had (should be called "Black death" instead). Fate O tyres are, however, excellent for doing oil assisted burn outs.
