No idea about the Aircon, but yes burried deep inside the functions and menus of the system there is a way to change the brightness and contrast of the camera, took me three days to find it.

No, it was a year ago. Its in the menu's operated by that joystick thingy, play around you will find it.

Is that camera really useful or is it just a gimmick? I only ask because oddly enough I have 2 freinds with Primeras. One I don't talk to much but swears by it. THe other says it's a waste of time.

It's really handy, but if it's a dull day it can be frustrating try to see. I also tow a caravan and for this it's perfect.

Think 18 deg. is as low as it goes. My QX is the same - but if I set it to '18' I find it gets quite cold enough, especially if I'm only wearing light clothing. Any colder would be uncomfortable.

I've got the SVE - the camera is great for reversing up to walls, not running the cat over !! etc - not designed for full reversing - i.e. you should still look out of the back of the car.
Temp can't be lowered, I have the Maint CD, screen can be adjusted but it's burried in the service menus.
