Just saw my first Alfa GT - ooooohhhhh Love at first sight....even in that not-very-nice Alfa metallic grey.
I WANT ONE

I test drove the 2 litre petrol GT last week - it was fantastic. It was really very comfortable, and has decent legroom in the back (although limited headroom for adults). And a decent boot. Looks to die for of course. It will be my next new car, in the 1.9 diesel guise I think. I think you're right about the colour, the darker metallic colours are better than the lighter grey.

I tested a 1.9 M-Jet the other weekend and was very impressed with it. I managed to keep it for 90 mins and drove it all bucks on different roads and at different speeds.
It was a very impressive piece of machinary.
;;) of course in true British motoring Jounalistic fashion in a few days I'll write another reveiw and completely slate it...

I see HJ recommended the 3.2 to a bloke in the Torygraph on Saturday. Almost made me have second thoughts about my Porsche 993 acquisition project...
I've seen two. Rather gorgeous.

It's all getting rather pally in here, isn't it?
Could someone please slate them for being 'Alfa's and therefore they'll rust and rot and spontaneously combust' so I can argue with them? ;)

Sorry Bazza...
here you go...
I tested the Alfa GT 1.9 M-Jet the other weekend.... it was seriously flawed and as ugly as sin. all the electrics went haywire and the door handle fell off.

Bah! Philistine! They're georgeous cars, and all of that was just 'character'. (cheers JaB)
