Hi, I am about to replace the cylinder head on a M-reg 306DT. Does anybody know which of the Pug/Citroen varients have the same head? I.e. Pug405DT? I am sure a 405 head will be cheaper at the scrapyard than a 306 head. Thanks

Hi
Series 2 405s Late k plate & newer had the 1905cc Turbo diesel engine your looking for.
Also check out 306s & 406s & Citroen ZXs & Xantias because these used that lump as well.
Also try www.andyspares.com/discussionforum/default.asp
This forum above will be a lot of use to you.

I have one but it needs skimming, where in the UK are you? I'm NE based, you can have this one for £30 still has the cam and valves attached but needs injectors. Whats wrong with yours thats so bad it needs replacing?
Also if you are too far from me then the 306d non tubo is the same but injectors will need swapping to td injectors.

Isnt the 306td head re-inforced compared to the 306 non-turbo head. I'm sure I read that somewhere in the Haynes manual. Something to do with higher compression ratios?

Thanks for the info. Apparently the old cylinder head was more like a sieve on the pressure test. I am based in Oxford and no longer have the old cylinder head to recover the injectors so it would be a bit of a faff to get your cylinder head here Richie (thanks anyway). I'll try the spares forum. Cheers
