Halmer I think your trying to be clever with this one. The 5dr and 3dr have different light clusters from what I have seen, only the 3dr ones seem to have changed on the latest version.
They have different tailgates as well.
No I'm not trying to be clever, in fact I'm ignorant of the fact that the two door rear lights (as on my wife's) are different than the four door.
Why on earth would you want to do that?
Dunno, but the on the pre-face punched version, there were also two versions of the tail-lights, 3 and 5 door, but they looked so similar most wouldn't notice, it was how far they stuck out.
The new ones are rediculous, they weren't done by a designer, they were done by someone with no idea.
Easy way to spot whether it's a new or old model from the back - if it's got a round Fiat badge on the back, it's a new one; old ones have the four-block Fiat badge.
AFAIK they only changed the rear lights on the 3-door, by putting those totally unnecessary red things on the tailgate - which don't even do anything!
I reckon they wrecked the front styling too, replacing those slit headlights with the 3 round lights built-in and the prism indicator with characterless old-fogue ones.

The rear 1/4 panels, Lght Clusters, Tailgates and Bumpers are different shape and sizes according to the model. The old model were the same as well. You'll also find the Stilo is the same with its range.

paulb is correct.
I've had a look at my wife's Punto this morning and the rear light cluster doesn't even appear to be wired up to anything! There is a reflector and what looks like a light but isn't one.
What an odd thing to do. They've had to produce a new tailgate to do this I supppose. If they have it just doesn't make any economic sense surely? It looks worse than the old one if anything.
I mean the cluster on the tail gate of course.
