Fortunately refreshment causes the problem to go away.

Oh for an edit button. (and somewhat less imcomprehensible than 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633)

Am I on the wrong planet today?
|
No, we have entered a parallel universe, albeit one from a couple of millenia ago.
I knew the Romans had forums, but I didn't realise they had the internet too.

Isiah 45:8, from the Vulgate. Used as Versicle during Advent. Only other time I know of 'Drop Down' being used in casual conversation. (Other than Patently's Landrover girl. Or is that 'go'?)
The AA ad works when the backroom window is maximised. However, if the backrrom is in a smaller window (pretending to be an Outlook window(!)) then none of the hotspots works, nor does the close button.

How bizzare (and I don't just mean your post). I too have a pseudo Outlook screen for the Backroom when I'm working on client site but don't have that problem.
Seems to be one specific to your IT setup. Sorry.
