As above, an oil leak has developed. Initial "head under car" has reveled its at the front R/H (offside). Difficult to see as various bits in way and havent had the car up on jacks or ramp yet. Any historical data on what it might be? Head in bonnet reveals all top parts of engine look oil tight.

Long list of potential problems.
The gearbox is over there thoug might be leaking from there.
CHeck all the pipes are on tight first .
Oil can be thrown about quite easily might be coming from the other side of the engine.

On some versions the oil filter is awkwardly placed above the subframe adjacent to the front wheel and due to this oil runs all over the frame when being changed.If the filter is slightly loose it may drip in this area. Oil pressure switch may be culprit. Gearbox is on other side of car and a leak from here will normally be clean oil. Cam cover seals common area for leaks.

It was the filter weeping. the oil drips off the filter onto the sub frame (the sub frame is pressed steel with ribs and lots of areas that gather a lot of oil that can come out anywhere on the sub frame a long time after the leak started.) The filter is a RIGHT pig, very awkward.

At least the sub-frame won't rust. I think it was British Leyland who invented the self lubricating Chassis. Didn't realise Renault had adopted the idea.
