Nope, These are a right sod to do, Make sure you get the right one too, around 1994 / 95 they went to a cable with an auto adjuster in it.

learn to stand on your head for an hour ot two whilst holding a torch between your teeth. when ok with this tackle the real thing, put swear box on passenger seat. make sure you change the pedal clip at the same time as the cable. take for test drive if all ok, empty swear box go treat yourself to a pint or two

I did this job on my old 1988 405 GTX - one day I was changing gear and the pedal went 'bang!' and sank to the floor. Further investigation revealed a white plastic component that sits at the top of the clutch pedal and holds the end of the clutch cable, the end had snapped in two. Why they made this out of plastic I do not know. Went to a breakers, took me a while to extract a suitable spare one, £1, spent several hours with my head under the pedals sorting this one out. If possible you may be able to unbolt the pedal box for easier access, but then you end up trying to resist the clutch pedal return spring. Horrible job - reminds me of the plastic self adjuster used on 1980's Fords that used to fail regularly.
The offending Peugeot part may be replaced on later models by metal, or as mentioned previously by self adjusting or hydraulic types.
