Mk4 Golf rattle and hum. - Ash

Hi all,

I've tried solving the rattling problems with my Mk4 Golf, and after reading other postings on the 'net i'm one of the many sufferers. Build quality has plunged to new depths in my opinion.

I'm trying to find the reference on this site that explains the fault with the dashboard clocks, but i can't find it anywhere ! Does anyone know where i can find it ? I've been told that VW know of the problem (thanks enr1) i'm just looking for something that i can print off and shove under my dealers noses as they're not listing to my suggestions as to where the fault lies. Their line is ' it's the alarm siren' and after losing a days leave for them to do it the rattle is still there.

This is my last VW.
