Yaris Starting Problems - Ewan
Has anyone come across intermittant Yaris cold start problems - the car simply will not catch at all for a couple of hours - then fine - it catches first time.

Nope.

We have had a Yaris for 3 years and it has not faltered.

Normally whenever we buy a car, I buy a Haynes manual so that I have some clues should problems emerge. It appears Haynes are not going to produce one for the Yaris.

So my poor quality advice is - eliminate damp on the HT side as a cause and then get it into the dealer, there may well be a 'cold start compensator' on the fuel injection side and this may be playing up - shotgun diagnostics on the otherhand could be expensive and fruitless.

Is it not still under warranty?
