Nissan Micra 2013 - Advice on the price of used parts on ebay please. - _william

Hello,

So I'm shopping for a new driver's seatbelt for my Nissan Micra 2013. I found a couple on ebay, but whereas this one

is only £35, this one

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/356426516359

is about twice the price at £83. Would anyone know why there is this price difference for the same part?

What's the problem with the current one? They can be repaired.

Both of these are not “new “ . They are recycled parts probably from salvage vehicles. If you look at your seat belt , there should be an Id build tag on it with a possible part number. You should be able to cross reference the correct part

I think I've only replaced one seatbelt, on a Marina 1800, with one from an abandoned Datsun. No interchangeability issues, nor any objection at the MOT, so not much apparent need for part numbers

I suppose "progress" might have eliminated such convenient recycling by now though.

Previous owner stained it with a strong odour of perfume, nothing seems to be able to get it out.

Have you tried spraying it with surgical spirit?

Try Autoglym interior shampoo, not much it won't shift in my experience.
