Independent VW Specialist - Bristol - voodoo
Hi there, Can anyone help? I need the name and contact details of a reliable independent VW specialist in Bristol or the surrounding area to service a VW Polo. I've visited HonestJohn's Directory and drew a blank but just in case some of you haven't got around to posting your recommendations I thought I'd tap the forum's knowledge bank directly.

Thanks in anticipation.

I can't help as I am also looking for one. My Polo goes to a VW dealer north of Monmouth (South Hereford in Whitchurch) as they are good and cheaper than the useless one in Bristol.

why a vw specialist i can recommend westerleigh car centre obviously in westerleigh not cheap but cheaper than main dealers and they are recommended by a large bmw main dealer locally like i say not cheap but good and i dont work for them nor actually know the owner personally they also have a reputation of being harsh on mot\'s but cars tested there sell well locally as people know they are good

I have used VW Audi Cars, Bradford on Avon (01225 867708)for servicing and spares for our own VW's many times over the last 10 years.
For my company VW's, I have been happy with VAG Motor Services of Bath (01225 428000) and go out of my way to use them; I can recommend both.

Like John, I've used a VW Audi Cars in Bradford on Avon a couple of times since I've moved up that way. No qualms with recommending them, good attitude and reasonable prices.

Voodoo - the Polo is a simple machine, why don't you just find a good garage that deals with any make in Bristol?
I've used VW in Bradford-on-Avon but they are not easy to get to from Bristol. You've got to get through Bath traffic and then across to the far side of Bradford-on-Avon. There must be a more local alternative to service a humble Polo. There used to be the Bath VW Centre just off the Lower Bristol Road but I haven't seen their advertisements for a while so they may have closed.

I'm surprised no-one's mentioned Graham Batt Ltd on the Feeder Road about 5 mins walk from Temple Meads station. Just had my car done there - friendly, prompt, reasonable and well equipped. They've also been around for years - since the Seventies I think - and came on the recommendation of several VW owning friends. No connection etc...
