Seriously considering buying one. Have read HJs comments on 'Road Test' but just wondering if anyone out there owns one and if so, what their thoughts were? 'XS model' seems a lot of spec. for the money. Thanks.

Looks good to me, a small oil leak was the only problem, there is a new Smaller Kia 4x4 coming out later in the year (looks a little bit like a Hyundai Santa Fe).

I think with Clarkson everything is very black or bright white, and this seems to be him being a bit extreme, even though I usually basically agree with him.

Carl & David,
Thanks for your replies & help.
David,as you rightly say, Clarkson is generally extreme in his views, a bit 'tongue in cheek' in this case I believe or should I say 'I hope'.
I have test driven this vehicle...a bit sluggish maybe, but then again I,m no boy-racer, plenty of room & extras for the money. It's just a matter of taking the plunge & going for it.

I've literally just ordered one but just the entry-level one. Very impressed on the test drive. Was about to buy a Hyundai Terracon but my wife thought it was just too ugly and the Kia dealership is just next door. The vehicle will be working hard for its living so hope it does the trick.
