hi alan,
when i had my leather seated senator, i used to use a product called "punch, active-super protector" widely available from sports shops like jjb etc. suitable for use on suede, leather, roebuck, and canvas. mainly meant to protect expensive leather coats and shoes from rain and stains. just spray-on, wipe off. v. good.

Try Autoglym. I can't compare it with any others from personal experience, but it seems OK to me.

I'd vote for Autoglym, but you can get some very good cleaning and conditioning stuff at a saddlers (horse-gear shop).

Alan,
Best I have found - after years of Autoglym - is from Glipstone - find it on Google.

"stuff at a saddlers"
Quite agree. Saddle soap is an excellent way of removing the crud from leather without detergent. It even smells right!
