Sorry to be a pain but one of my mates has been offered this van and wants to know if its a good price.

Mercedes Vito 112CDi
X Registration
1 owner
Very good condition
White ( as always )
80,000 miles

The bloke wants 4 grand for it.
Is this a good buy or should he walk away.

No van expert and obviously it's really a Mercedes V Class, which we all love - but for £4k? With low(ish) mileage? Do you really need to ask if it's a good buy?

I assume you know the van's really in good nick, not just superficially, and the seller is straight up? A look in the van section of the AutoTrader website suggests that it's basically half price.

Agree with DHM. If it's his to sell, with no obvious fatal flaws then it's worth more than 4k. Check out Autotrader to see what they fetch...

I have told him to go and check tha Van out and if it looks all o.k then buy it as it seems a bargain.
I have a feeling that he is selling the van for the same money the dealers offered him on trade in on a new one.

Is the guy selling it the named keeper in the V5.

Is it paid for & not still on lease/finance?

Best HPI it before parting with £$£$

Otherwise a good price.

All totally genuine.
It's a carpet fitters van and he always changes them as soon as one is paid off.
My mates had a look and is going for it.
