Displayed on the new matrix infosigns on the M4 in South Wales this morning:
"Don't drive aggressively"
"Use your mirrors"
"Avoid sudden lane changes"
"Be courteous to others"
The first time i've seen these messages. Normally it's either "Don't drink and drive" or "Wear your seat belt".
I'm all for it myself. If only they said "Don't hog the middle lane".

There's a great Rory Bremner monologue where he highlights the rather gentler nature of Edinburgh as compared to Glasgow, in terms of the different roadside messages on the motorway between them.
On the way into Glasgow [firm Glaswegian accent required]:
CHECK YOUR BRAKES!
CHECK YOUR LIGHTS!
CHECK YOU SEATBELT!
And on the way into Edinburgh [soft scottish accent required]:
You'll have had your tea then?

Excellent, perhaps one of their operators has been moonlighting here and taken note of our suggestions in other threads!
I wonder how long this initiative will take to reach the M25?
And i wonder if they will change them to be relevant to the conditions ie. "Use your lights" on a drizzly morning etc.
