Can we give a moment's thought to the Gritting Lorry driver killed in an accident last night. These people are genuine unsung heroes keeping roads open. - This man paid the ultimate price for us.

Yes - a real tragedy! I'd just like to add thought that IMO the same goes for all the traffic police, emergency and breakdown services who do their best to keep our roads as safe as possible (attracting quite a lot of hostility from some) and have to deal with the carnage when things go wrong (usually as a result of our mistakes).

Totally agree.

Normally these people also drive the dustbin lorries which is another taken for granted service.
