As you may know, the Testarossa was 5th Gear's favourite Ferrari, which proves that Anne Robinson isn't the only high powered redhead to stumble on success despite their looks.
But the cognoscenti of the backroom have now spoken and hail the following Maranello masterpieces:
1st F40
2nd 456
3rd = 355,360 and 250
6th = GTO, 575 and 308
The Lamborghini Countach and the elusive Lolo Rip were also 6th. I can't prove the Lolo Rip doesn't exist and think it sounds better than those shonky numbers any road.
There were a couple of spoiled papers, as Vicki Butler-Henderson may prance, but is certanly not a horse.
Many thanks.
Oh, and by the way, for every single post extolling the sheer brilliance of the greatest marque in sports car history, there were five backroomers posting on Car Mats.
How refreshing.

Just to be slightly pedantic, it was actually the voting public's favourite car. 5th Gear were just announcing the results.

Shall I start the "Favourite Ferrari Car Mat" thread then.. ;-)
A bit late now that the backroom results have been announced....
456GT - IMO the most beautiful car Ferrari ever made (and probably will ever make).
The owner of an office building that used to be leased by the company I work for had a dark blue one with natural tan interior. He used to visit the building about once a month and always park it right outside the main entrance. On those days my lunch hour was usually spent just walking round the car admiring it - not a single bad angle, a car never looked so good standing still.

Liked the program, but the car used in Miami Vice was a black Daytona convertible (?fake), NOT a Testarossa.

Dark blue early 1960s 250 GTE 2+2. I recall seeing one for sale at a dealers in Egham and falling in love with it on the spot. A suprisingly tall, capacious and practical car for a Ferrari.

The 250GT Lusso comes a close second.

What about the 288 GTO? Amazed it wasn't mentioned.
The best by a mile for me...

Rudedog,
Miami Vice used a convertible Daytona early doors. When Ferrari found that was a fake they gave the programme makers a white Testarossa for the cops to ponce around in.
The 288 GTO did collect one vote (Stackman), and is very beautiful.
