On the back of Ian(cape town) thread 'Off for Xmas' pdc very kindly pointed out that his xmas cd had been in his car for 2 weeks now.
What's your 'fave' xmas song or cd?
I've already mentioned in Ian's thread that mine is Slade so what is yours....?

Rather sadly a tape (yes a tape) of my wife's old school choir singing Carols. Traditinally sad I'm afraid.

Just back from the oub where the Crimbo songs were in full swing. Yes, Wizzard too, and also I really like Do They Know It's Christmas, espacilly loud with plenty of bass...

Just to revive an old Backroom thread concept....
How about a Backroom Xmas compilation.
Just has to contain a medley of Irish songs
Wild Rover/Gypsy Rover : duet by Pheonicks and 3500S
Cover version of Abba's Money Money Money : NoDosh (sorry Alan!)
carry on boys and girls, last time this was a real laugh!! It is Friday

Mine is a home made compilation mix, with each track being blended into the next
Band Aid - Do They Know It's Christmas 12", Pogues & K McColl - Fairy Tale of NY, John Lennon - Happy Xmas (War is Over), East 17 - Stay, Eurtythmics - Winter Wonderland, Slade - Merry Xmas Everyone, Wizzard - I Wish It Could Be Xmas Everyday, St Etienne - I was Born On Xmas Day, Garry Glitter - Another Rock & Roll Xmas, Wham - Last Christmas - Pudding Mix, Waitresses - Christmas Wrapping, Shakey - Merry Christmas Everyone, MUD - Thank God It's Christmas

My wife has a number of compilation CD's and a couple of Bing Crosby. Sadly the tape player in my car has a tape 'stuck' in it. I only hope she doesn't smell a rat if it gets miraculously fixed in January :)

LOL!
How about a cover of Jilted John's "Gordon is a moron" sung by everyone in the BR that resents the huge amounts of tax levied on motoring?
Better hire the Albert Hall to record that one.

Pugugly, you could always spool some of the tape out and crease it a bit, then blame the tape player when it's unplayable ;-)

Anything by Mr.Acker Bilk and his Paramount Jazz Band recorded in the l 1958/9 era before he went all soppy with that awful "Stranger on the shore"
..........................................................
"Rude, crude and socially unacceptable"
|
Guess what I found on a well known Internet book etc. etc. site- Yep, early Acker. Subject to the vagaries of Correos it might be here on the VERY wet Costa del Sol in time.
