Cheapest place for a new windscreen ? - johnmac
My windscreen just got shattered hence i'm looking for a new one, i only have 3d party insurance. Anybody know of the best place to get a new one, i.e cheapest ?

John have a look at tinyurl.com/wz08 which is a Rover site and look for a discussion there on the 15th of October called windscreen saga.
Some well reccomended and cheaper places.

Haven't seen the discussion, but I just had one replaced.
Being TPFT I too had to pay and I found being an RAC member got a huge reduction from their own outfit and was easily cheaper than the opposition. Same may apply with other organisations if you are a member.

You've not mentioned the make of car. If it's only held in with a rubber strip (ie, not glued or bonded in) then pop along to your nearest scrapyard.
