I have just noted how quiet the forums are this afternoon. Could it be that many of my fellow contributors are \"Sunday Drivers\". Or is the Pub lunch the favoured way to spend a sunday afternoon?????

Glued to the PC at 15:45 on a Sunday afternoon......

Agh you see HJ, being on the far side of the Irish sea does have the occasional benefit. Today is a bright sunny day across here, but it is very cold. I assume you are having a bit more rain on your side of the pond....
Good Luck,

I have a cofession to make. I have a Very Large Bike (VLB) on loan from a friend who is out of the UK. Fully documented of course I took it out today for a blast carriyng SWMBO on the back we had a 60 mile run on country roads (stopped for a mug of tea and a bacon butty in a real old fashioned roadside caff.) The very light traffic I came across were driven by considerate Sunday Drivers, all in all a pleasurable afternoon out. Home in time to hose it off and dry it. Mmmm tempted.

Like PU I was out on the bike today - damn cold but sunny.
Big mug of tea and a bacon butty overlooking the harbour at Bridlington. We don't all live down South in the rain ;-)

I foolishly got the mountain bike out of the garage and went for a very cold, very wet, very muddy ride in the Purbecks. Northerly wind blowing and totally s**den at the 20mile point, I gave up and succumbed to the charms of the National Trust tearooms at Corfe Castle.
The others I went riding with also gave up within a couple of miles.
All of us are experienced riders and had appropriate kit on, but boy, did we underestimate the chill on that wind!
Will be out there at some point this week (when dry) to finish the ride.
