A5 Closure - Rugby

A5 Closure - Rugby - Bromptonaut
A5 closed last night c19:00 south from it's junction with the A426. Line of cones and utilities type closure sign rather than police accident. No evident prior indication approaching from Lutterworth (M1/J20). Anyone know if this is days/weeks closure for roadworks or just a one off incident?

It was an accident around 5pm. It appears contractors are used to close roads & direct traffic rather than police. Saw same thing 15/08 for another accident in same spot.

Thanks, assumed it must be as nothing on either the highways agency or warwicks cc websites. Use it regularly as an alternative to the M1 between Northampton and Leicester. Section from the 426 down to rugby radio is too straight and fast for its own good.
