Well it's too hot to do any thinking at the moment, so I have played with the profile view on this site to include some stats for users which you may find useful.
Matt can tidy up the look when he is back from hols.
I think Dynamic Dave is the winner of most posts. This is not scientific as I have not done a query to validate this. It's just that I can't believe anyone else would have over 2500 posts to date!
Is there anything else you would find interesting about a user?

Goodness! As both a non-moderator and someone who knows turf-all about cars, I find my posting figures truly frightening! I haven't had time to check out many others' yet, but even so....
I've been reasonably quiet lately, and perhaps should try to remain that way. (Mind you even this is going to up my percentage, isn't it!)

I think we ought to have some league tables.
The Premier would include HF, DD and a few others, whilst the First and Second division would include the rest of us!

I will with the utmost dignity, however, decline to comment further on which league I should be playing for. Although current ambitions are to downgrade to the Conference.
If currently in the Premier, I must surely be the Leeds of the BR (with apologies to any Leeds fans).
This two horse race with DD hangs heavily upon me though (just to change the sporting connection). I am sure that careful perusal of all BRer's profiles will prove that many, many people post far often than I do. Surely. Don't they?

As my profile shows, I don't often post (net run rate 0.102 -well, not counting this one), but I will post to say I do think this is a great addition.
(BTW, I could've sworn I registered/posted before Jan03, but upon checking, it appears that was all in the old BR.)
Stephen - I think the stats you show are plenty - I'd guess the recent posts thing will be particularly handy - you can keep up-to-date on only the threads in which you've participated, rather than trawling through a whole forum.

Sorry, Stephen, one idea - (oh, for an edit button!) - upon double checking, if it could just show *threads*, rather than *posts* in the "Most Recent" list, that'd probably be a bit nicer.

I have just decided that the 'average posts per day' figure is much more significant. It actually puts me way down the list.
These statistics are great. Would be good also to see a 'words per user' as well as a 'posts per user' - not sure I'd fare too well on that one either though ;)

Well as ever I have made some amends to this.
There is now an option on your settings - set to default on - to control whether your usage stats show up. (Moderators can see these anyway)
This is so that if you really don't like people to see how much you are posting you can turn this off.
Also I have stopped your list of recent posts showing up hidden posts.
